First ``osiris_utils`` Conference
=================================

Welcome to the announcement page of the **first ever** ``osiris_utils`` conference!
A small (and not-too-serious) gathering for colleagues, collaborators, and anyone
who has ever ``pip install``-ed this package to celebrate its 1st anniversary.

Overview
--------

Two main events are planned:

* A **poster session** (A4 format) where attendees showcase their best use case
  of ``osiris_utils``.
* A **home hackathon** to find bugs and exploits in the code — best finding wins
  a prize.

Poster Session
--------------

Bring your best ``osiris_utils`` story on a single A4 sheet. Anything goes:

* A cool diagnostic you built on top of the package
* A simulation post-processing pipeline
* A neat plot, a clever workflow, a creative misuse
* Benchmarks, comparisons, or improvement ideas

**Format:** A4, portrait or landscape, your choice. Print it, draw it, or have
matplotlib do it for you.

Home Hackathon
--------------

Hunt for bugs, edge cases, undocumented behavior, or genuine exploits in
``osiris_utils``. The most interesting finding wins.

**Prize:** one (1) chocolate bar 🍫

**Rules of engagement:**

* Reproducible reports only — include a minimal failing example.
* Submit findings as GitHub issues on
  `the repository <https://github.com/joaopedrobiu6/osiris_utils/>`_, tagged
  ``conference-hackathon``.
* Pull requests with a fix are welcome and warmly encouraged (but not required
  to win).
